Great dishwasher - wish it was taller

I replaced an older 18" dishwasher, and nobody makes this size to fit the 34-1/4" gap. This unit comes with nothign to fill the gap either, so there's just a hole on the top of the unit. I will have to fill it in myself. I wish it came with a strip of stainless steel to match the unit on top.

I just installed this in an older condo with a galley kitchen that didn't have an opening for a dishwasher. I knew I didn't want to lose too much cabinet space so this made sense. Machines is nice and quiet and has a lot more space then you'd expect for an 18". The silverware tray and adjustable 2nd shelf are awesome. Would buy another easily.

Manual is not user friendly. Can hardly see the serial or modle numbers. For an 18inch the dishwasher is poorly designed because there are too many & various slots that take up the space in this small unit. A simplier design would have made this dishwasher a 4 star. I'm being generious by giving it a 2 star.

Revived this dishwasher brand new. It was purchased through Lowe's. Got it installed and tested it. It ran for 10 minutes and then threw an error code. Bosh sent out a technician to fix it and it's been over a month now and it's still not fixed. They still don't have the part and I still haven't gotten to use it. Very upsetting because we have been waiting to get a dishwasher and finally were able to do it and it doesn't work. Very disappointed so far.

This is a great dishwasher for a household of 2-3. We use it almost everyday - and the smaller size makes unloading quick. The water jets are powerful and will knock lighter plastic items around if not clipped in. The bottom rack tines are close - we typically separate dishes using every other slot along with the third rack for utensils.

It's a great little dishwasher! Cleans very effectively and is incredibly quiet; I love how easy it is to adjust the height of the middle rack. My only complaint would be with the Crystal Dry - if we run the dishwasher overnight (starting the cycle right before going to bed), many dishes are wet with condensation by the morning. To avoid this, we delay the cycle to end right around when we get up, and crack the door first thing when it ends to let the heat escape. Still, with such 'fancy' crystal dry technology, we were hoping that the dishes would actually be dry (and stay dry) by the end of the cycle and we wouldn't need to take these extra steps. If we were able to go back in time with this knowledge, I think we might have gone with one of the cheaper models instead. Also note - the manual says you can put plastic on the bottom rack, but we did have a cup warp when we tried it there rather than on the top/middle. Still a great dishwasher and overall happy with our purchase!

Dishwasher very easy to use and installed very fast all parts and to install came with the machine only needed a few tools. The Dishwasher very quite and cleans and drys perfectly, recommended this Dishwasher.

I like this dishwasher. It heat water. It cleans well. Cell phone app works after it is set up. Dishwasher tell me when to add rise aid and to do machine care with cell phone app. It just work.

It's quiet and effective and designed to hold a lot of dishes. And cleaning the filter is not too bad. That said: 1) I wish there were a way to keep the door open for the sake of ventilation. As it is, I stuff a folded potholder between the door's top edge and the cabinet so the appliance doesn't get funky. 2) The machine has many features, including internet control, most of which I will never use and find confusing. I have used only the "normal" and "auto" cycles. 3) Occasionally, I wipe up black gunk that accumulates at the bottom near the door. Is that mold, from not keeping the door open? Why isn't it washed away during a cycle? 4) Bosch offers a dishwasher sanitizing product -- $35 for four applicatons! I'm sure it works, but wow, expensive. I wish Bosch gave sanitizing alternatives. I read about setting a dish of vinegar in the top rack and running the machine on "sanitize" -- is that OK for this machine? 5) Getting the detergent compartment door to click shut is a little tricky. A very small design change would fix it. Bottom line: After about six months, I'm OK with this machine so far.

This 18" model is the perfect choice for a couple. We were going to have to pay the contractor to remodel our cabinets until he said this size would cut the cost in half... only had to give up one cabinet!
Works extremely well, cleans and dries perfectly.
Quiet and extra bonus: will save thousands in water costs for the rest of our lives!

I've been using the Bosch 800 Series 17 3/4" dishwasher (SPE68C75UC) for a few weeks now, and honestly, I'm impressed. It's compact, super quiet, and cleans like a full-size model. I got it mainly because of the size - space is tight in my kitchen - but I didn't want to compromise on quality, and this one really delivers.
The stainless steel finish looks great and actually doesn't show fingerprints, which is a small miracle if you're used to constantly wiping appliances. The interior layout is clever - the racks adjust easily, and that third rack on top is perfect for utensils and random small stuff that would normally get lost.
Performance-wise, it's strong. Even when I load it up with messy dishes, everything comes out spotless and dry. The machine is also so quiet that sometimes I have to double-check that it's running.
Only thing to keep in mind is capacity - it's narrower than a standard dishwasher, so if you're a big household, you might run it more often. But for one or two people, or a small space, it's perfect.
Bottom line:
Looks great, works beautifully, and feels solid. If you need a compact dishwasher that doesn't feel like a downgrade, this Bosch 800 Series is totally worth it.

I bought a Bosch 800 series Dish washer. It was exactly what I needed. I have a older house that has real hand made oak cabinets and I did not want to cut them up to install a larger dish washer. Bosch had a 800 series that was 18" wide and that was exactly the width of one door so that fit just what I needed. It is quite and works great! I love the ability to start it remotely and monitor it with my phone!

We bought the "apartment" size dishwasher and I'm really surprised at how much room there is for all of our dishware. I especially like the 3rd rack on the top where I can lay down larger utensils like spatulas! It cleans great and we are very happy with all aspects of our new Bosch dishwasher!

We only have space for an 18" dishwasher. When I researched dishwashers, I found that the Bosch 800 has the best customer satisfaction of all dishwashers. The reviews are spot on. My bride tells me that it even cleans on the express cycle, which she says is unusual. We are both amazed at how many dishes you can fit into this 18" dishwasher. Good job Bosch!

We love everything about our Bosch 800 series 18" dishwasher. Full size is over-kill for a 2-person household , 18" is perfect size for daily use. All the daily dishes fit including pots and pans. We set the delay for late-at-night operation when no other appliances are drawing water (we have slow recovery well). In the early morning the dishes are all sparking clean. Super quiet operation. Love it.

The caps that connect the handle to the dishwasher door are plastic. They crack. Being replaced for the 2nd time in 4 months of owning this dishwasher. These should be metal. Have complained to BOSCH service call center but they have no way to get the complaint to product development. The sound insulation is faulty. The dishwasher is not quiet when running. Own 2 of these. Very dissapointed in the design and quality of these dishwashers.

I have a small kitchen and can only fit an 18" dishwasher. I recently replaced a 12 yr old Kenmore washer that frankly did a terrible job. I have dreamed of having this washer for a while now, but due to supply issues have been waiting almost 2 years. It is larger inside ( how did they do that?!) and cleans soooo much better. I LOVE THE THIRD RACK!
